Fall Getaway Contest

No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
Contestants must be 21 or older at the time they enter the contest.

 Entry in this contest constitutes your acceptance of these official rules.

How To Enter:
To enter online, go to http://www.visitpwc.com, and complete the official registration form. All online eligible entries must be received beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on August 21, 2008 and ending at 11:59 p.m. EST on December 28, 2008. Limit one entry per household. If multiple entries are received, only the first entry will be considered and subsequent entries will be disqualified. Previous winners are ineligible to win again. Online entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. The Prince William County/Manassas Convention & Visitors Bureau and sponsors (Sponsors) are not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind, for inaccurate transcription of entry information, for any human or other error, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, late or damaged. All entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entrants must be the registered subscriber of the e-mail account from which the entry is made. Sponsors may require proof to its satisfaction of entrants registered subscriber status.

Prizes:
One prize package will be awarded to one winner. For prize package, winner must provide own transportation to, from, and around Prince William County & Manassas, Virginia. Winner will receive:

  • A complimentary weekend stay in a King Suite at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Manassas, Virginia
  • A $30.00 gift certificate to City Grille Restaurant in Manassas, Virginia
  • A complimentary wine tasting for two (2) plus a souvenir glass for both guests from The Winery at LaGrange in Haymarket, Virginia
  • A $25.00 gift certificate towards a purchase at Manassas Clay in Old Town Manassas, Virginia
  • Free admission to the Manassas National Battlefield Park and the park movie “End of Innocence” for four (4) people
  • A beautiful hand blown painted glass ornament of Manassas, Virginia courtesy of the Manassas Museum.

Except as specifically provided herein, the prize package does not include meals, drinks, taxes, insurance, telephone charges, personal expenses, travel arrangements, gratuities, incidental charges, or any other item not specifically described in these Official Rules, and all expenses for any of the foregoing are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. All travel reservations must be made at least sixty (60) days in advance of arrival. Once confirmed, trip dates and travel accommodations cannot be changed by winner; however, travel is subject to availability, blackout dates, and/or change due to circumstances beyond Sponsors' control. Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer and may not be separated. Only listed prizes will be awarded and no substitutions, cash equivalents or redemptions will be made, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize package with another prize of equal or greater value in the event that the advertised prize (or any component thereof) is not available. Reporting and payment of all applicable taxes, fees, and/or surcharges, if any, arising out of, or resulting from, acceptance or use of a prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner of that prize. Sponsors will not replace any lost or stolen prize items.

Selection and Notification of Winners:
The prize winner will be selected from among all eligible electronic entries received in a random drawing to be conducted on or about January 8, 2009. All decisions are final and binding. The winner will be notified on or about January 15, 2009 via e-mail, phone and mail, and will be required to sign and return to Sponsors an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release within 14 days of issuance of these documents. If any prize related document is undeliverable, or if winner fails to timely return the affidavit and releases or in the event of non-compliance with any other requirements, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by applicable federal, state or local laws or regulations

Disclaimer/Limitations of Liability:
The Prince William County/Manassas Convention & Visitors Bureau is not responsible for any injuries, damages or loss of property during this getaway weekend. All travel and lodging will be at travelers risk. Winner and travel companion(s) agree to release and hold harmless Prince William County/Manassas Convention & Visitors Bureau and all other sponsors and their respective affiliates and subsidiaries and each of their directors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any damage, injury, death, loss or other liability that may arise from winner's and traveling companions participation in the contest or the awarding, acceptance, use or misuse of any prize.
