Built in 1837 and a prime example of Federal style architecture, this house sits within five miles of the site of the First and Second Battles of Manassas. Believed to be occupied by both Confederate and Union soldiers as a wartime hospital, the walls bear authentic signatures of Union soldiers.


Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park

133-acre Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park features interpretive signs, a scenic pond, and nearly three-miles of walking and equestrian trail winding through woods, leading up to the mostly unmarked gravesites of 203 Confederate soldiers.

Rippon Lodge

A unique building with construction spanning three centuries. The original colonial home, built by Richard Blackburn in the 1740’s, contains later additions built in 1800 and 1924.


Brentsville Courthouse Historic Center

A former Prince William County seat, this historic area served as a hub for activity for more than 75 years. The reputedly haunted Brentsville Historic Center consists of five buildings; a courthouse, jail, church, cabin and a one-room schoolhouse built in 1928.


Historic Occoquan

Visit this quaint, historic riverfront town which was the site of the first automated grist mill. After Civil War skirmishes, a brief Civil War encampment from Gen. Wade Hampton, and ravages from hurricanes, today Occoquan offers shopping at more than 100 specialty boutiques, dining, and antique shops.


The Manassas Museum

This Museum interprets the history and material culture of the Northern Virginia Piedmont region. The Museum is open Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm, and is closed on Mondays except for Federal holidays.


Mill House Museum
