Day One:

Get started in Prince William County with an exciting day ahead at Leesylvania State Park and learn about the birthplace of “Light Horse” Harry Lee, father of Civil War General Robert E. Lee, and explore the Lee Family plantation ruins. You can opt for hiking on Leesylvania’s scenic hiking trails or start a game of volleyball or football on their playing fields.  After hiking grab a bite to eat from Five Guy’s, a scrumptious delight.

Later that afternoon explore Potomac Mills Mall for an afternoon of shopping. Potomac Mills features over 225 outlet and retail stores and cinema and food court.  All registered groups receive free shopping bags and coupon books, all which will make your shopping trip a delightful one.  Head over to the food court for dining in the evening.  With over 25 eateries there will be something for everyone to choose.

If there is still energy to spare visit Laser Quest, one of our hottest attractions for a night filled of fun with laser tag before heading to your Prince William County hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day Two:

Start your morning with breakfast at Shoney’s before starting your day at The Manassas National Battlefield Park.  This is a wonderful way to learn and examine the history of the First and Second Battles of Manassas.  Take the 12 mile driving tour or hike the trails in this 5,000 acre park.  Explore all of the interactive exhibits and collection that are housed in the visitors center.  There’s a 45-minute long film “Manassas: End of Innocence” shown daily in the theater inside the visitors center.

After working up an appetite grab lunch for the afternoon at one of the county’s pizzerias finishing it off with a cold cola.  The day isn’t done until you have had the chance to explore The National Museum of the Marine Corps.  This 118,000 square-foot museum will allow you to participate in interactive exhibits that will include an intense boot camp experience and a walk through winter battlefield scene from the Korean War. For a small piece of the museum to take home visit the museum’s gift shop for a wonderful memorabilia. For dinner stop by the museum’s dining room for a tasty meal before heading back to your hotel.

Take in a ballgame of the Potomac Nationals, the Carolina League affiliate of the Washington Nationals and the only professional sports franchise in Northern Virginia. The Nationals take the field from April to September, with 70 home games. If you’re here for a Saturday home game be sure to stick around for the full fireworks show.  Enjoy all the great baseball excitement and the classic baseball food and drinks before returning to your hotel.

Day Three:

After breakfast at your hotel drive over to the Prince William Forest Park.  Just minutes from anywhere in the county, this is metropolitan Washington D.C.’s largest park. Prince William Forest Park spans over 17,000 acres along the Quantico watershed. With streams, ponds, waterfalls, over 35 miles of scenic hiking trails, a scenic driving loop and camping, it’s an exciting place to explore the outdoors and experience all of the beauty of this natural retreat.  Stop by any of Prince William County’s restaurants for lunch in the afternoon for a hearty meal before departing home.
