2 NEW SUMMER TRAVEL PACKAGES OFFER VISITORS THE CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE WHY HISTORY LOVES COMPANY IN PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY/MANASSAS, VIRGINIA!
Prince William County, Virginia – The Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) (www.visitpwc.com) has launched two, new summer travel packages: “Moms, Marines & Apple Pies” and “Historical Getaway and Southern Charm,” effective through December 31, 2007. They feature the lowest rates available from participating hotels with a minimum of two rooms and include a free gift basket upon check in. Packages can only be booked online at www.visitpwc.com.
“Moms, Marines and Apple Pies” gives families the chance to explore the 118,000 sq. ft. National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC) and experience the sights and sounds of Marines in action. "The Museum is a great place for veterans traveling with their families to witness Marine Corps history. We see Marines bringing in their parents -- and their own children -- to share their history and their pride in the Corps," says Lin Ezell, Director of the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
This package offers discounts at participating hotels, a gift basket upon check-in that includes the NMMC commemorative guide book, a NMMC label pin, a buy-one-get-one -free slice of pie coupon from Mom’s Apple Pie Company, and other souvenirs from the Prince William County/Manassas CVB.
“Historical Getaway & Southern Charm” allows families to explore the Manassas National Battlefield Park and the Manassas Museum. The Manassas National Battlefield Park is the site of the first major land battle of the Civil War. Visitors may retrace the steps of the brave soldiers who fought on the hallowed grounds, and walk back in time to explore the legends of the past and the promise of the future at the Manassas Museum.
This package offers discounts at participating hotels, a gift basket upon check-in that includes a coupon for 15% off a single item at the Eastern National Bookstore at the Battlefield Park, buy-one-get-one-free admission to the Manassas Museum and a 10% discount on regular-priced merchandise from Echoes, The Manassas Museum Store. It also includes other souvenirs from the Prince William County/Manassas CVB.
