POTOMAC MILLS MALL HISTORY
Potomac Mills, developed by the Mills Corporation opened it doors in 1985 in Woodbridge, VA. The mall was the first of a series of the Mills Corporation chain of shopping malls, and has over 200 retailers, 25 eatery food court and an 18-screen AMC movie theater. Potomac Mills is the 10th most popular tourism site in the state receiving well over a million visitors each year. In 2004-2005, the mall went through a renovation that was completed on September 20, 2005 leaving Potomac Mills a polished and trendy shopping destination. No longer belonging to Mills Corporation Potomac Mills is now apart of Simon Property Group.
Today Potomac Mills is a hot tourist attraction in Prince William County continually thriving and constantly evolving with new editions like Costco Warehouse Club, a huge warehouse chain and other popular retailers.
