GMU vs. Potomac Patriots (college hockey)

Join the fun and support a good cause on Dec. 8 when the George Mason University Patriots Ice Hockey team hosts its annual charity game, which this year will benefit the Center for American Military Music Opportunities (CAMMO).

Attendees will have a unique opportunity to hear Washington Capitals anthem singer Caleb Green sing the national anthem at the Prince William Ice Center in Woodbridge, Va., prior to puck drop at 3 p.m.

In addition, George Mason University’s award-winning and internationally known pep band, Green Machine, will perform at the rink during the game.

There also will be raffles and a silent auction beginning at 2:30 p.m. featuring autographed sports memorabilia from local professional sports teams, including the Washington Capitals, and experience packages, such as dinner certificates and theatre and sports tickets.

The fundraiser will feature an exciting in-house rivalry match-up, the Mason Patriots vs the Potomac Patriots Premier Junior Hockey team in an exhibition game. The home rink for both teams is Prince William Ice Center.

Tickets are on sale now ($5 for students and $10 for adults) and can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite or at the door.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to CAMMO.
