Join historian/author Dr. John Maass and County historians as we follow in the footsteps of General George Washington along one of America's oldest roads, the King's Highway.
Beginning as a Native American hunting path, the King's Highway is the forerunner of modern day Route 1 and Interstate 95. We start our journey at historic Pohick Church and trace the King's Highway through Prince William County, visiting sites and stories related to George Washington. Newly preserved segments of the original King's Highway will also be featured.
