National Bee Day at Rippon Lodge

August 18

National Bee Day at Rippon Lodge

11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; $5 per person

Enjoy National Bee Day at Rippon Lodge Historic Site. With special guest Bees in Schools LLC and Edgemoore Art Studio, learn about all types of honeybees, how a hive works and see the way bees store honey. Find out how you can contribute to protect these endangered species, and what can be made with the honey and wax. Purchase Rippon Lodge's very own honey from our hive in our gift shop.

Please note: bees are temperamental and may sting. If you are allergic to bees or honey, please make sure you use extra caution or do not attend. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Please do not wear black, as it attracts bees.

Rippon Lodge Historic Site, 15520 Blackburn Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192, 703-499-9812.
