The Hope & Serenity Farm Sanctuary is a private nonprofit organization and working farm in Nokesville, VA. The Farm Sanctuary was founded in 2017 by Renee Small in order to shelter neglected, abused, and abandoned animals. Her interest in demonstrating the beneficial interactions between people and animals influenced her decision to open the farm to the public that same year.

The Hope & Serenity Farm Sanctuary is open for visits and tours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11 am to 1 pm.

A two-hour visit, which includes a guided tour and supervised interaction with animals, is $20 per individual, family, or group (up to five individuals). Visits and tours are complimentary for veterans and active-duty military. First-time 30-minute volunteer training sessions are offered on the 1st and 15th of every month for $20 per volunteer. Repeat volunteer sessions are complimentary. Volunteer activities include feeding animals, changing water pails, and mucking stalls.

The Farm Sanctuary site is also offered for children’s birthday parties. To make arrangements for a visit, volunteer session, or birthday party please visit the Farm Sanctuary website.

The Hope & Serenity Farm Sanctuary has opened a Farm Shop on its site in Nokesville, showcasing unique and affordable merchandise, with some handcrafted by their own volunteers. Browse hand-painted terra cotta pots, wall art, quilts, sweatshirts, hoodies and tee shirts, framed photographs of Hope & Serenity resident animals, souvenirs, and more. A Kid’s Corner features books, small toys, bracelets, and other items. Farm Shop proceeds are allocated toward the care of the resident animals and farm sanctuary upkeep.
