Some people wait until December to get into the Christmas spirit. Others start the minute Halloween is over. Us at Prince William? Well... that's a secret we'll never tell. HOWEVER. Something new is making us lean one way this year and woah, we're pumped. If you're already dreaming about twinkling lights, festive decorations, and all things merry and bright, we've got some exciting news for you!
Spirit Christmas, a pop up brought to us by Spirit Halloween, will open at Manassas Mall, taking over the former At Home storefront at 8358 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109.
Inside, shoppers can expect a variety of holiday favorites, including indoor and outdoor Christmas decorations, stocking stuffers, festive apparel, inflatable decorations, and gifts. So whether you're planning a full-on holiday decorating extravaganza or just looking for a few new touches, there should be plenty to browse.
It's also a fun excuse to get a head start on your holiday shopping before the December rush arrives!
All Aboard the Candy Cane Express
I know, it's a lot of information but stick with us because here's where things get extra merry.
Spirit Christmas will feature a Candy Cane Express experience, complete with a Christmas train and caboose. Cute, right? Guests can steer the train and pose for photos, making it a festive stop for families, friends, and anyone who loves a good holiday picture.
The experience will also feature animated characters, including Frosty the Snowman, Snoopy and other Peanuts favorites, along with some of the misfit toys from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
In other words, don't forget your camera! And tag us because we get FOMO!
Send a Letter to Santa
Have a little one who's already putting together their Christmas wish list? Spirit Christmas will also feature an Arrivals and Departures terminal where guests can write letters to Santa and find out whether they've made his nice list.
Although Santa makes frequent visits to Manassas Mall during the holiday season, the store is also expected to offer live Santa photo opportunities, giving families another chance to capture a little holiday magic. So you'll have plenty of opportunities to see the jolly ole' man and let him know what's on your list!
Make It a Holiday Day Out in Prince William
Once you've finished browsing the Christmas decorations and snapping photos, why not turn your visit into a full day out?
Manassas and the surrounding Prince William area offer plenty of ways to round out a seasonal outing, from shopping and dining to exploring historic downtown streets and finding a cozy spot to grab a bite.
You can browse local shops, enjoy a meal with family or friends, and start checking a few more names off your holiday gift list. And as the season gets closer, keep an eye on the Visit Prince William events calendar for even more festive happenings around the county.
