Marine Corps Base Quantico

The TV show Quantico has created a legion of fans curious about the actual Marine Corps Base Quantico.  Established in 1917, Marine Corps Base Quantico covers nearly 59,050 acres in Prince William, Stafford and Fauquier counties. Marine Corps Base Quantico leads the way in technological advances and innovative thinking for present and future battles.

Its mission is to develop warfighting concepts and required capabilities needed to field combat-ready forces. Quantico is also the academic location for Marines education, including everything from Officer Candidate School to Marine Corps University.
