If you're not into Golf or Arts this weekend, make sure you check out the Norton Showcase at Piedmont Meadows in Triangle on June 7th.
Wine lovers will get the chance to try different wines from different winers all throughout the states using Virginia's native grape! At least a dozen wineries will take part in the family-friendly event that kicks off the second annual Norton Wine Tour, including Piedmont Meadows, Chrysalis Vineyards, Rappahannock Cellars, Casanel Vineyards & Winery, Chateau MerrillAnne, DuCard Vineyards, Nokesville Winery (an award-winning Prince William, Virginia winery), Barrel Oak Winery & Brewery, 53rd Winery & Vineyard, Winery at Bull Run, and Paradise Springs Winery.
This will be a full day of sipping, shopping, and soaking up the warm summer weather. This outdoor event will run from 11 AM to 6 PM. You'll be able to chat with winemakers, dive into panels all about the historic Norton grape, and enjoy live music from local talent. Plus, browse handcrafted goods from local artisans and grab a bite from your favorite food trucks—because good wine pairs best with good food and great company!
Tickets are $25 per person, and each winery will also be selling wines by the bottle and glass. Sadly, pets are not allowed.
The event is run by the Norton Network, a group of Virginia wineries that aims to highlight the varietal.
