Are you into house hunting shows? Don't worry, it's our guilty pleasure too.
Well, even if you're not, you might want to tune into the newest season of WETA's house-hunting series, If You Lived Here because one of their episodes will feature our own special town of Occoquan!
The 30-minute episodes explore real estate at various price points while diving into the history, culture, and unique highlights of each community. While details about the Occoquan/Lorton episode are still under wraps, you can expect to see some of the area's top attractions, such as Occoquan's waterfront, shops, and restaurants, along with Lorton's Workhouse Arts Center and Occoquan Regional Park.
This season, Jennifer (Jen) Osborn and Ricardo Frederick Evans will step in as hosts, following the Emmy-winning Christine Louise and the late John Begeny, who sadly passed away in 2023 after battling cancer. Osborn, a DC area resident since 2011, has appeared in Netflix's *House of Cards* as Robin Wright's assistant and has performed with regional theater companies and in short films. Evans, a native of DC's Hillcrest neighborhood and former licensed real estate agent, now teaches at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts and has an extensive background in film and theater.
The new season will kick off on Oct. 28 at 9 p.m. with an episode focused on Burke, Virginia. Five additional episodes will air on Mondays at 9 p.m. on WETA PBS and 8 p.m. on WETA Metro, running from Oct. 28 through Nov. 9. Six more episodes are slated for early 2025, with the air date for the Occoquan/Lorton episode yet to be announced.
After broadcast premieres, streaming of episodes will be available on the PBS app and at weta.org.
