The Winery at Sunshine Ridge Farm

Located on Lake Manassas in Gainesville VA, The Winery at Sunshine Ridge Farm is the only local winery with a breathtaking view of Lake Manassas, which can be seen from all our rooms. Locally owned and operated, with over 20 acres of land, they have a rustic wine tasting room and an old pub style brewery with large fireplaces. Whether you want to read a book and peacefully enjoy a glass of wine, walk the waterfront and enjoy the sunset or host a private event, we are the perfect choice for any occasion. 

New this year: The Golf House on the Lake!

If you're a golfer looking for a fun challenge or just love supporting a great cause, The Golf House is where you want to be! Located at the beautiful Winery at Sunshine Ridge Farm, they host a weekend challenge from Friday to Sunday. The goal? Hit a golf ball across the lake and break a glass window to win a prize! The total prize is $250, with half going to you and the other half donated directly to St. Jude.

Beyond the golf challenge, you can enjoy delicious wine with stunning views, plus a packed calendar of events featuring live music every month. Be sure to check their website for all the details!

La Grange

The Winery at La Grange

Located in the heart of Haymarket, Virginia at the foot of Bull Run Mountain, the Winery at La Grange is a 20-acre estate with space to enjoy picnics and live music during summer and a cozy, fire-lit parlor room in the winter. Recently, The Winery at La Grange's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2021 Petit Manseng both won silver medals in the 2024 Virginia Governor's Cup..

  • The Cabernet Sauvignon, also a bronze medalist at the 2023 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, presents inviting aromas of cherry and cedar, with flavors of rhubarb and black cherry, finishing with light tannins and hints of cola and cocoa.

  • The Petit Manseng offers a sensory experience with tropical fruit, almond, and honey aromas, followed by pineapple, peach, and lemon curd flavors, and a bright, acidic finish with notes of pineapple and salinity.

In addition to their award-winning wines, The Winery at La Grange is one of the top spots in Prince William, Virginia to take in the stunning fall foliage. With events nearly every weekend—like line dancing, wine dinners with Chef Ryan, and "A Day at the Faire"—there’s something for everyone, even if you're not a wine drinker.

Also another award winning winery, Nokesville Winery is a startup family-owned winery and vineyard open on the weekends and ready to show why it is worthy of its win. Taking pride in soil-to-bottle production, they strive to grow quality grapes from which to make their quality wine. Their most recent win was also in the 2024 Virginia Governor's Cup for their:

  • Nokesville Winery’s 2022 Norton won a silver medal by boasting a rich, fruity aroma of plums and tart cherries, with soft tannins and a smooth vanilla and coffee finish on the palate. Aged in both French and Hungarian oak, it promises depth and complexity.

Effingham Manor Winery

Effingham is a historic home and a national historic district located in Prince William County, Virginia. The main house at Effingham Manor dates back to 1767 and was built by William Alexander, a great-grandson of John Alexander, the namesake of Alexandria, Virginia. Special programs are offered for groups, such as a private wine tasting and history tour, wine blending class, wine pairing meals, and a murder mystery dinner with wine. Effingham Manor Winery currently has over 2,500 cases of Effingham wine bottled and labeled. 

With live music and events like "Paint & Sip," this winery offers a charming blend of Virginia's rich history and the beauty of the present.

Aroma Wine Tasing I & II

Located in Manassas, Aroma Wine Tasting I offers tastings, flights, bottles, glasses, and slushies at their beautiful tasting bar in Manassas. The tasting room is operated by Morais Vineyards & Winery, and they serve all the same wines available at the winery as well as limited release wines.

Aroma Wine Tasting II also offers tastings, flights, bottles, glasses, and slushies at their beautiful tasting bar in Haymarket. The tasting room is operated by Morais Vineyards & Winery, and they serve all the same wines available at the winery as well as limited release wines.

For both tasting rooms, seats are first come first serve and they have private rooms available to rent for large groups and events. Assorted cheeses, charcuterie, and crackers are available for purchase to pair with their different varieties of wines.
