Prince William, Virginia is heading to Philadelphia!
This Labor Day Weekend, we're taking Prince William to one of Virginia's most important travel markets as part of the Virginia Tourism Corporation's 2026 Philly Takeover. From September 4th – 7th, 2026, the Philadelphia Phillies will take on the Atlanta Braves at Citizens Bank Park, and Prince William will be there to help show Phillies fans why their next getaway should be to Virginia.
So, if you're heading to the ballpark over Labor Day Weekend, keep an eye out for Prince William!

As part of the Philly Takeover, Visit Prince William, Virginia will have an on-site activation at one of the Phillies games, where visitors can stop by our booth, say hello, learn more about Prince William County, and grab some Prince William swag to take home. Plus, you get to meet some of the faces that makes VisitPWC as awesome as it is!
It's a fun opportunity to bring a little piece of Northern Virginia to Philadelphia while connecting with potential visitors who may be looking for their next weekend getaway.
And let's be honest, who doesn't love a little free swag at a baseball game? We know we do.
But Why Philadelphia?
If you didn't know, Philadelphia is an important drive market for Virginia, making it a natural audience for Prince William's tourism efforts.
The 2026 Philly Takeover is designed to introduce Philadelphia travelers to Virginia destinations and encourage them to consider the Commonwealth for their next getaway. The campaign brings together six Virginia destination marketing organizations, including Visit Prince William, with advertising, Phillies in-game branding, fan engagement, digital marketing, and other promotional opportunities throughout September and October.
And this isn't our first time bringing Prince William to the City of Brotherly Love.
Last year, Visit Prince William joined VTC's inaugural Philly Takeover, which included a major presence throughout Philadelphia and in-stadium promotions at Citizens Bank Park. The 2025 campaign featured six Phillies games and was designed to introduce Philadelphia-area travelers to destinations throughout Virginia.
This year, we're back and we're bringing even more Prince William pride with us!
