  • Prince William County has had a diverse and dramatic history since its creation in 1731. In those nearly 300 years, many unusual and tragic events have happened, and it is said that spirits of the unquiet dead still linger at the places they knew in life. Grab a pint and kick off the spooky season with a night of local ghost stories from throughout Prince William County's history. This is a joint program between Water's End Brewery and Prince William Historic Preservation.

Trunk or Treat – Learning Experience of Bristow

A Vintage to Die For: Murder Mystery – Cedar Run Brewery

  • Join us, if you dare, for FACTORY OF FEAR, THE HORROR HOTEL, a chilling haunted experience set in a twisted, reimagined world where history and terror collide. Before it was a bustling four-story factory, this ominous building was once home to a Manassas hotel. See it as it was, or rather, how it could be now as it is transformed into an eerie, Haunted Experience.

Brunch with the Sanderson Sisters – Madigan’s Waterfront

  • Join us Sunday, October 19th, at 11:00 AM for this magical brunch and show with the three Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus! You and your child will enjoy a delicious brunch, live performances, craft time, interactive games, dancing and photo opportunities! The event begins at 11:30. Please arrive by 11:00 to enjoy brunch. THIS IS GEARED FOR THE KIDS; THERE WILL BE A COSTUME CONTEST, so please come dressed if you want to participate and a chance to win some fun stuff!

Spirits of Brentsville – Brentsville Courthouse

  • In 1822, the small, unassuming town of Brentsville opened as the County Seat. For over 200 years, the town was the site of trials and triumphs. Join us for a tour of the historic grounds of Brentsville where the spirits have awakened and are eager to speak with you.

Movie in the Park: Hocus Pocus – River Mill Park

  • October 25th, 2025 | 7:00 P.M.
  • After moving to Salem, teenager Max Dennison explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani and their new friend, Allison. After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.​ Rated PG, runs 1 hr 36 min.

Murder Mystery Dinner: The Late Late Show – Madigan’s Waterfront

  • October 26th, 2025 | 6:00 P.M.
  • Big changes are taking place at a small local television channel. A desire to compete with bigger networks by the new station owner and General Manager G.I. Lovecash has prompted changes that have shaken up the whole staff at WMRB TV in Baltimore, MD. The network once prided itself on wholesome family-oriented programming with shows such as the Grecian Gourmet with Chef Georgiou Georgioupolis. However, Lovecash plans to shake up the lineup to more scary and shocking programming with a new show hosted by Goria de Vamp, “the Gothic Goddess” who has been surrounded by controversy her entire career because of the raunchy, gory movies she shows and her outlandish, graphic, and over the top stunts she performs in between segments, all in the name of ratings. Meanwhile, station accountant and mail room clerk Ida Beancounter has noticed some peculiarities in financial reports, strange invoices coming to the station, and missing petty cash. She has enlisted the help of Private Investigator Anthony “Ant” Tenna to perform surveillance around the station and to report any unusual occurrences.

  • Ben Lomond has a diverse and grim history as a Civil War hospital, a farm, and a private home. Over the years, many local residents have claimed to see ghosts and other spooky happenings at the site. Is Ben Lomond haunted or not? Join us for an eerie evening around the campfire to hear some of the ghost stories associated with the historic site. Bring your own chair and flashlight.
