One person might want to be by the water, the others in the mountains. And what about the history buff? Can't ignore their wants and needs! Well luckily for you, Prince William, Virginia has it all!

From winery hopping and boutique shopping to outdoor adventures and spa-worthy relaxation, here's how to spend the perfect weekend with your crew—whether it's a group of four or fourteen.

Inn at evergreen

Friday Evening: Check In & Kick Off Summer

Welcome to Prince William, Virginia! While we have a lot of hotels for you and your girls to stay at, we HIGHLY recommend the Inn at Evergreen in Haymarket, Virginia. It's a more than charming countryside retreat that feels worlds away from the daily routine while still being close to wineries, breweries, shopping, and some of the county's most unique experiences.

Once you're all settled in, feel free to relax and enjoy what the inn has to offer. But if you're looking to really kick start your weekend and get out on the town, we suggest you head over to the Town of Haymarket and see what your new home away from home has to offer. For dinner, we suggest heading over to Red House Tavern, where the menu has a little something for everyone and the outdoor atmosphere feels especially lively in the summer months. Or if you're feeling something different, Parrando's Tex-Mex Grill, Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant, or Monroe Bay Oysterette are always solid choices.

After dinner, take a walk around Haymarket before heading over to one (or multiple, we won't judge) stops on our Steins, Vines, and Moonshine trail! In Haymarket, we got plenty of options! If you and your girls are into beer, Great Mane Brewery, Farm Brewery at Broad Run, and Trouvaille Brewing Company are all amazing stops to check out! If you're more into wine, Haymarket has Aroma Wine Tasting Room II and The Winery at La Grange for your tasting enjoyments.

Make sure to check out each locations events page! They always have something fun going on (especially during the weekends)!

Shopping Occoquan

Saturday: Brunch, Bubbles, & Beauty

Morning: Arrive and Explore Historic Occoquan

We get it, it's hot. So why not get all the outdoor stuff out of the way while the morning air is still cool? That's why we suggest starting your girls weekend in the charming riverfront town of Occoquan. Located right on the Occoquan river, this is our own personally little Hallmark town! Don't believe us? Well I guess you'll just have to spend the morning wandering through locally owned boutiques, art galleries, specialty shops, and cafés while catching up with friends.

It's the perfect place to ease into the weekend, especially if your group enjoys shopping, antiques, home décor, or simply strolling somewhere picturesque. they also have a bunch of spots to grab a quick bite while you walk around or sit down and enjoy a full brunch. But truthfully? We would suggest the quick bite route (like Grind N Crepe) because their lunch spots will blow you out of the water! Literally. Because they're on a river. Get it??

Afternoon: Lunch by the Water & Retail Therapy

After a morning of shopping, settle in for lunch along the waterfront. Occoquan offers several restaurants where you can enjoy river views, good food, and plenty of outdoor seating during the summer months. Madigan's Waterfront is your typical sit down dining spot, but this one happens to be right on the river! Watch people kayak and paddle board as you enjoy a delicious meal and who knows, maybe you and your girls will get inspired to get out on the water!

But seriously, take your time, there's no rush on girls weekend.

Once you're full and happy, you'll need to walk off some of that meal and what better place to do that than Virginia's biggest outlet mall? Located in Woodbridge, Virginia, Potomac Mills Mall is more than an outlet mall, it's a whole experience! Of course you have your shopping, but you also have fun activities like Slick City, Round 1 Bowling, AMC Potomac Mills 18, and Off Limitz Adventure Park is all there ready for you to enjoy.

Evening: Dinner & Drinks

Head back to your hotel to freshen up a little, the days are longer in the summer anyways so you got time. After relaxing and getting ready for the evening, head on over to the NOVA Live Campus in Manassas, Virginia! Home to two delicious restaurants, Proof Restaurant & Bar and Black Sheep Restaurant. Two different vibes but neither is lacking on the taste scale. If you're looking for something a little more casual, Proof is your spot. If you want an unforgettable dinning experience, Black Sheep is for you! Known for its creative menu, craft cocktails, and lively atmosphere, it's the kind of place where one round of drinks somehow turns into three hours of conversation.

Of course, we recommend making reservations a head of time to ensure you get a table.

Since you're already on the campus, once you're done eating head over to 2 Silos Brewing and catch a concert from a local artist at theYard! In the summer, they have live music every night. If you're lucky you might even be around for one of their tribute concerts! Think major concert with a backyard vibe and feel. They'll have you dancing all night long. Check out their full line up

Day Two: Brunch, Adventure & One Last Toast

Morning: Slow Morning Brunch

Let's face it, you probably partied a little hard last night. That's okay! Sunday mornings are meant to be slow and relaxing. If you need to relax, please do so! But if you're looking to start your day off right, we vote you go to Goat Yoga in Nokesville, Virginia. As the name suggest, Little Goat Farm at the Lake is located, well, on a lake! They offer goat yoga pretty frequently, so make sure to check them out while you're here!

If you don't want to do yoga with cute baby goats, that's okay too. After a relaxing and recovering at Evergreen, gather the group to rally for brunch in Historic Manassas. Not only if this little town walkable and right next to train tracks, it has a variety of some of the best food around. For a solid brunch, we recommend Battle Street Bistro, CJ Finz, Public House Kitchen and Brewery, The Omelette Cafe, Corssroads Tabletop Tavern, or anything else really! We promise, you can't go wrong.

After eating, spend some time exploring downtown's boutiques, bookstores, and local shops before continuing your adventure.

Afternoon: One Last Stop for Drinks & Goodies

We hate to see you go, but love to know you're leaving with memories for the whole crew to talk about for years and years to come. If you have time before you make your way back home, we would encourage you to stop by The Winery at Sunshine Ridge Farm to taste some award-winning wine and take a bottle (or two) home with you! This woman-owned winery is located in Gainesville, Virginia right on Lake Manassas. Confusing, we know. Not only is the view gorgeous, but the wine is mouth watering. Spend your last few hours soaking in the sun and take home your favorite type of wine. This spot is perfect for the "I can't believe this trip is over already" photo shoot.

Raise one final glass, snap a few more photos, and start planning the next girls trip before this one is even over.

Historic Manassas

And just like that, your trip is over! Are you crying? Because I'm crying. We hope you had the BEST time visiting Prince William, Virginia and tell all your friends about it so they can come visit us too. Because the best weekends aren't about checking off a list, they're about spending time with the people who make every destination more fun.
