Major Events:

10/2 WMZQ Fest at Jiffy Lube Live (Bristow) Spend the day enjoying tunes from some of Country music’s greatest, starring Brooks & Dunn REBOOT 2021 Tour with Travis Tritt and Elvie Shane.

10/9 Brentsville Bluegrass Concert at Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre (Bristow) For hundreds of years, the Brentsville Public Lot has been a place of entertainment and festivities and the tradition continues. Bring your chairs, kick up your heels, and enjoy some Bluegrass and comfort food at the historic centre!

Other Major October Concerts at Jiffy Lube Live (Bristow) Nothing says fall than chilly nights listening to the hottest music acts inside Prince William County’s 25,000 seat outdoor amphitheater! Enjoy Dierks Bentley, Jonas Brothers, The Knotfest Roadshow, Jason Aldean, and Florida Georgia Line this October.

10/16 Haymarket Day Festival (Haymarket) Attended by over 20,000 spectators and 200 vendors. Enjoy a hometown street festival including a parade featuring local schools, performers, and law enforcement, led by the Grand Marshal. We will also have two main stages with local musical talent. Located at each stage will be a beer garden sponsored by 2 Silos as well as numerous food vendors. 

10/16 PetOberfest at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center (Woodbridge) Stonebridge is pleased to host PetOberfest on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 11am – 4pm. All are welcome to attend and enjoy free family and pet friendly activities including: a pet parade/costume contest, a lure course, an agility course, pet-friendly exhibitors, children’s entertainment, store discounts, prizes, and much more. 

 

Pumpkin Patches:

Lake Ridge Nursery Pumpkin Patch (Woodbridge) – The Lake Ridge Nursery Pumpkin Patch offers a variety of pumpkins, mums, fall décor and more.

The Pumpkin Patch at Yankey Farm (Nokesville) - Make this farm part of your family's fall traditions.  For 2021 they will be open from September 25 through October 31.   Visitors can come out and pick the perfect pumpkin, get lost in their corn maze and visit with small farm animals at no charge for those picking pumpkins. 

Pumpkin Patch and Hayrides at Evergreen Acres Farm (Nokesville) The pumpkin patch at Evergreen Acres Farm will be open for picking on the weekends throughout the month of October from 10 am. to 5:00 pm.  They feature a hayride to the pumpkin patch.  Visitors can also enjoy a variety of Virginia craft beers at Cedar Run Brewery located on the farm once they have found the perfect pumpkin!

 

Fall Festivals & Events:

10/1 & 10/2 - 3rd Annual Oktoberfest at Farm Brew Live (Manassas) Oktoberfest is back & better than ever!! This year enjoy live music, your favorite Oktoberfest brews from 2 Silos brewing & other local craft breweries. You heard that right. Dynasty Brewing Co. Sinistral Brewing Company & Quattro Goomba's Virginia Craft Brewery will be joining us for our Oktoberfest weekend celebration!

10/1 – 10/31 Haunted Pub Crawl in Historic Occoquan (Occoquan) Every Friday & Saturday night in October guests can visit 4 of the most famous haunts in quaint Occoquan. They will spend 30 to 40 minutes in each establishment toasting to the ghosts and listening to the stories of the ghosts that reside there. Must be 21+ to attend the haunted Pub crawl.

10/1 – 10/31 Ghost Walks: Return to the Shadows at Weems-Botts Museum (Dumfries) Historic Dumfries Virginia, Inc. proudly presents the Return to the Shadows Ghost Tour every Friday & Saturday throughout the month of October. Reservations are required and space is limited.

10/15 – 10/17 Manassas Ballet Theater: Dracula at Hylton Performing Arts Center (Manassas) Manassas Ballet Theatre (MBT) returns to Merchant Hall for a thrilling 2021-22 season, starting with the chilling classic, Dracula. This dramatic and seductive production transports the audience to Transylvania after dark where the taste of blood promises eternal youth.

10/16, 10/23 & 10/30 Special Effects Halloween Makeup Class at Pat White Center (Manassas) Special Effects Makeup - Just in time for Halloween. Come see exactly how cuts, bruises, scars and all sorts of Special Effects are done for movies and TV. A fun and realistic time with a theatrical and effects a local makeup artist.

10/17 Crafts-N-Drafts Fall Fest at Manassas Mall (Manassas) It promises to be a fun-filled day, food trucks + a street market style craft fair with local artisans + specialty retailers. Kids will enjoy a fall-spirited make & take craft station... and tons of family fun! Don’t forget about the drafts – as we’ll be featuring the very best local craft beers! Fun for the entire family with all the fall feels!

10/22 Great Pumpkin Party at Dale City Recreation Center (Woodbridge) Join the Dale City Rec Center team for a fun parent/child event. Wear your favorite costumes and enjoy games, music, dance, crafts and a yummy snack.

10/23 Cookies & Scream (Haymarket) Their annual Halloween celebration will include live entertainment, costume parade, spooky treats and more.

10/23 Halloween Party at Ornery Beer Company Taproom (Manassas) Come get spooky with Ornery on Oct. 23rd! Halloween Party! Pakos Fresh Mex food truck on site, Live Music by Nick Coons 4-7pm, 8pm costume contest & Beer Specials.

10/23 Movies in River Mill Park: Hocus Pocus (Occoquan) Spend an evening under the stars watching a classic Halloween movie with your friends and family at River Mill Park. Bring your own camp chairs or blankets. Outside food is allowed. No glass containers or outside alcohol permitted.

10/29 & 10/30 Haunted Maze in Historic Occoquan (Occoquan) Come prepared to be scared! This 35’ by 40’ Haunted Maze will have 15 themed areas with 32 “scare” zones. PG13.

10/30 Costume Parade & Contest in Historic Occoquan (Occoquan) Costumed kids of all ages are welcome to join in the Occoquan Costume Parade! Line up at the 121 Poplar Alley parking lot and the Mayor will lead the group through town to River Mill Park.

10/30 Prince William Haunting Car Caravan Ghost Tour (Bristow) Join the Prince William County Historic Preservation team for a Halloween eve car tour of three historic sites to learn about the people, events and maybe a ghost or two that allegedly haunt a few of our historic sites while enjoying some Halloween treats!

10/1 – 10/31 Bottle Stop Wine Bar After Dark (Occoquan) Join the Bottle Stop Wine Bar team every Friday & Saturday from 9pm – 11om for specialty craft cocktails from the prohibition era, a magnum pour of Powel & Sons Shiraz and late-night fun in Occoquan.

10/2 Fall Classic: Historic Baseball at Ben Lomond Historic Site (Manassas) Fall means baseball, and as America prepares to crown the next World Series champion, visit Ben Lomond Historic Site to learn about the origins of America’s pastime. Visitors can participate in 19th-century baseball games, build their own 19th-century baseball, visit with local baseball mascots, and enjoy lunch from a local food truck.

10/2 Occoquan 2021 River Paddle Challenge (Occoquan) The race starts at 10am and can be viewed from the dock behind Mamie Davis Park. No tickets required to watch! Registration to participate is $35. There is a 1.5-mile race for recreational paddlers and a 3-mile race for more experienced paddlers.

10/9 Northern Virginia Reptile Expo at Prince William County Fairgrounds (Manassas) Back again this year visitors can come out and find reptiles, books, supplies, feeders and more at the annual Northern Virginia Reptile Expo.
