Day 1

Spend the morning exploring Potomac Mills the region's largest outlet mall. With more than 200 shops including Nordstrom Rack, JCPenney, TJ Maxx, and Bloomingdale’s – The Outlet Store among other favorites like Nike, Under Armour, American Eagle, GAP Factory and more. Before heading to your next stop, make sure you take a group photo in front of the LOVEworks sign.

 

Afternoon

Spend the afternoon strolling the waterfront town of Historic Occoquan. This charming town combines over 200 years of history with the modern attractions of shopping and dining. Occoquan offers everything from antiques, arts, crafts, fashions, and gifts to unique specialty shops for miniature enthusiasts and much more.

 

Evening

Your tour guide from Penguin Paddling will take you on a two-hour trek to see the seemingly countless varieties of birds, fish, and other animals which call Occoquan home. Birds such as eagles, osprey and herons, as well as other wildlife like beavers, may greet you as you head towards the mouth of the Potomac River. Once you return to Occoquan, you'll find plenty of gourmet restaurants to enjoy.
