Michael Rojas

Michael began his career at the Prince William County’s Office of Tourism in January 2020. He relocated from Lubbock, TX in June 2019. Michael is responsible for promoting Prince William County as a premier destination for sports events. He was born and raised in Texas and joined the U.S. Navy after graduating from High School. Upon completing his service in the Navy, Michael returned to Texas where he earned his B.S. in Exercise Sports Science from Lubbock Christian University and his M.S. in Sports Management and Graduate Certificate in Leadership from Texas Tech University. While completing his Master’s Degree, Michael interned for the Event Management Division of the Athletic Department at Texas Tech University. He then went on to work for IBM as a recruiter and Tyler Technologies, where he worked as a Support Analyst. In May of 2018 Michael joined Lubbock Sports and the Visit Lubbock Convention and Visitors Bureau where he served as the Sports Sales Manager until relocating to Virginia in June 2019. He is a participating member of Sports Virginia and SportsNOVA, a National D-License soccer coach for Culpeper Soccer Club, and proud husband and father.
